The Comfort-Truss HD Hernia Support Belt is everything that the Original Minimalist Comfort-Truss is, comfortable, ergonomic, lightweight, supportive, breathable, and fully adjustable, but even more. More support, more durability, and more convenient pad changes. If the Minimalist Comfort-Truss is just not quite enough support for you, if you have an unruly hernia, or if you’re looking to get the maximum support, and maximum durability possible, the Heavy Duty hernia support belt is what you need.
It’s been thoroughly tested with people who just couldn’t get enough support from the Minimalist and has had outstanding results. Of all the people who rigorously tested it, every one of them was able to get their hernia under control with this HD version.
Since it is made with material that is twice as thick as the Minimalist Comfort-Truss, and it has a super stretchy and comfortable binding sewn around the edges of the belt, it is a bit bulkier, but it is unmatched in the amount of support provided. If there is any part of you that has a feeling that the minimalist might not be enough support for you because your hernia is on the larger side, or you have a high amount of internal pressure, or you just would like to get more longevity out of the truss, I urge you to give the HD a try. A good way to test to see if you have high internal pressure pushing the hernia out is to place two fingers on the hernia bulge and push toward your body with lite pressure. does the hernia go in easily, or does it take some force to push in? If it takes some force and does not slide in easily, you may want to go with the Heavy Duty hernia support belt.

The previous hernia belt I had felt like wearing a diaper with a brick inside. When I received the Comfort Truss I thought it was not going to work, because it's so thin and the pad is small compared to my previous one. But after using it for a few days, I love it. This one is more flexible and wraps around my body. The pad doesn't need to be thick because it holds the right spot. Previously I could only wear a belt for a few hours a day when I was working and I took it off when I finished. I can wear this one all day. I almost forget I'm wearing it because it's pretty comfortable.
CAWhy did I wait ? Why ?
My hernia freaked me out. I’m a 58 yrs old, healthy and athletic, chiseled guy who happens to do heavy physical work for a living (reno contractor). Imagine my shock when I found that lump on my groin. Yeah. Tons of question, fear, holy sh*t, what do I do? So, I got checked by a doc and verdict is hernia, Let’s talk about an operation after the pandemic. No other suggestion. So I went on, month in month out, grin & bear type of thing. At one point, it was just undearable. So I did some research and found this. Founder’s story is not only compelling, it resounded heavily with my situation. I figured, what the heck, anything beats this hell. So I ordered. Never looked back, no regrets, and when I have beaten these supports to shreds, I will order again. Never want to do surgery for this hernia. I will beat it. Thanks.!

Let me start by saying I have been a customer of Comfort-truss for a while and LOVE IT. So much better than other trusses out there. I especially like this company because when I had a problem with an order because I got a bad batch with manufacturing I received an email from George, and he totally took care of it. GREAT customer service. I'm so glad there is an option for a heavier duty truss. It is a winner on so many fronts. Where it doesn't work well for me is that because it is sewn on the edges, on the leg strap in particular, it is much less forgiving if the angle of the strap is not right when going around the leg. As you can see in the photo, the outer edge of the leg strap has a much more narrow opening than the inner edge which is wider. The result is that the leg strap is much tighter on the outer side of the leg than the inner; and when the leg strap is pulled tight it feels more like a string than a strap. If both edges had the same 'pull' it would distribute that pull more evenly and would feel more comfortable. I don't have this issue with the non HD truss.

I am very happy with the Comfort Truss. I had ordered a few other brands and found the belts uncomfortable and very bulky which was noticable through my clothes. I tried the Comfort Truss after watching a YouTube review and highly recommend it. I've had the Right side HD version since last year and have been able to get back in to running and have even run a few full marathons wearing the belt with no discomfort at all. I just picked up another HD and minimal truss to alternate after workouts. I would also recommend the Velcro support strap for rigorous activity so you never have to worry about it coming loose. Game changer!
